If I win that plate I’m giving it to your Momma! I have learned to slow down. I’ve taken up walking and rock painting. Who knew?? Once the world is vaccinated, I pray that people start being nice to each other again. It was great to see you and those towels are beautiful.
I absolutely have learned patience.
I’ve realized during this pandemic that I could/should have been reaching out to more family all along! My family has started “cousins happy hour” on zoom, and we should have been doing this even before the pandemic. We all realized how busy life was, and how much we’ve slowed down without the endless errands that consumed us.
Can I also add how much hearing you say ‘all of your southern china patterns’ made me chuckle!
The pandemic has made me cherish life more, slow down and be grateful for the small things.
Through this pandemic, I have learned to slooooow waaaaaayyyy down! I was running 90 miles an hour before March 2020. Being forced to slow down made me appreciate my home, my girls and my husband so much more! In the spring of 2020 a colleague of mine who had taught at Newnan High for 50+ years (she taught me in 1997-98) conversed with me via email. She stated that what I was experiencing was a “glimpse of retirement.” Oh how sweet that glimpse was! I’m on year 16 in teaching. I love what I do but I do look forward to retirement. The one thing I miss most is getting together with extended family! I have so many aunts, uncles and cousins that I miss!!!
