The Mint Julep Tea Towel

Regular price $10.00

A super fun interpretation of the Queen of Southern cocktails.

Black ink screen printed on white flour sack cotton kitchen towel.

One of our favorite things to do around the tiny red barn is work with other artists. Here is the first tea towel from our collaboration with Brandie Lee. Brandie is a hopeful idealist and creative soul in Nashville, TN. She delights in creating work that celebrates both form and function.

Follow Brandie on Instagram (@birdsflyover) to see her work. You can also order handmade paper prints of this image from her Etsy shop.

Our 100% cotton dishtowels come in two varieties: Workhorse for $10 and Fancy Pants for $15. Both measure about 30”x30” and are screen printed by hand in a tiny red barn in Georgia. Our clean, classic designs are the perfect home decor for a rustic, country farmhouse, an elegant city loft or any home that needs some Southern charm.

We stand behind the quality of our products, and we are not happy until you are happy. Here's a question we get all the time. What's the difference between our Workhorse and Fancy Pants tea towels? Click here to see the difference!

Come read our Barn Blog for stories more Southern than train songs, white dirt and Carolina dogs.

Chuck Reece, former editor of The Bitter Southerner and voice of the award-winning The Bitter Southerner Podcast, spins some tales so good they'll make you want to say grace with a Southern drawl and eat a tomato sandwich.

Stacy Reece, Cool Stuff Officer at Down South, makes the products and adds a few stories and recipes to make everybody from grandmothers to grandmillenials feel good about about having a Southern drawl. Her work has been featured in Okra Magazine and the Southern Living Blog. We are proud 2021 Community Partners with the Alliance Theatre for the production of Darlin' Cory.
