Oh my goodness! The last time I posted on my blog was well over a year ago. I had to smile a little bit when I realized that, because April 2023 was when my dear mama was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Since the doctor told us the news, we have been on a whirlwind of cancer care, including several months of me living with my mother during the final rounds of her chemotherapy and her daily radiation appointments.
Along the way, I have been managing the artwork, social media, product design and order fulfillment for our other company, Salvation South. I am so proud of what Chuck and I have accomplished in the past two and a half years. We started with nothing, and now we have an incredible body of work from some of the South's best authors and poets.
Chuck even has a podcast on Georgia Public Broadcasting, which has received a great deal of acclaim. You should take a listen to him. He is such a great storyteller with a pitch perfect storyteller voice.
Now I have finally found the time to relaunch my podcast that got waylaid by the pandemic. My first guest is Kate Van Cantfort. She is a delight and I am so proud to have her as my first guest. She is definitely our kind of people. Y'all make a glass of tea, settle down on the porch and come listen to us. It'll do your heart good.
