When White Gloves Split Atoms - The Origin Story of the Poet Jacqueline Allen Trimble - Episode 2

Posted by Stacy Reece on

Come join this lively conversation with the poet, Jacqueline Allen Trimble. She grew up in the African American community around Alabama’s Tuskeegee Institute, and as an adult became an award-winning poet who has authored two collections: “American Happiness” (2016) and “How to Survive the Apocalypse” (2022).

She witnessed first-hand the desegregation of schools as a student and grew up around strong women who weren't afraid to fight for their rights. You'll walk away a better person after listening to her.

If you want to read some of her poetry, check out what she wrote for our sister publication, Salvation South.
